ScaleArc Release Notes 2018.1

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the ScaleArc 2018.1

Summary

This release is a maintenance release that includes important updates, new features, and bug fixes.

New Features

  • Support for TLS 1.2, enabling users to adopt a more secure network protocol alongside previous versions (TLS 1.0 and 1.1).
  • Official support has been added for MySQL 5.7 and SQL Server 2016.
  • The ISO image has been upgraded to include newer third-party packages.

Bug Fixes

  • SCALEARC-5849: Resolved an issue with "RPC QUERY PASSTHROUGH" alerts appearing in logs after upgrading ScaleArc.
  • SCALEARC-5826: Addressed resets sent by ScaleArc to the application with indeterminate origins.
  • SCALEARC-5594: Fixed issues related to Aurora being used as a standby in ScaleArc.
  • SCALEARC-5567: Corrected problems with Primary DB Health Flapping.
  • SCALEARC-3028: Resolved frequent errors causing application workflows to be inoperable.
  • SCALEARC-3021: Enhanced the Cache Manager to display all Cache Patterns accurately.
  • SCALEARC-65: Fixed an issue where extra cache entries were added when generating trial licenses.
  • SCALEARC-1115/4679/1084: Addressed instances of core dumps observed on ScaleArc.
